Zinc aluminum magnesium coated steel plate refers to a coated steel plate that adds a certain amount of Al and Mg to the existing hot-dip galvanized coating or a certain amount of Mg element to the hot-dip aluminum zinc coating. It can still maintain the appearance of the steel plate in harsh corrosive environments, reducing the post processing process of steel in the cutting and manufacturing process, and reducing the subsequent cost of use. Meanwhile, due to the reduction in electroplating, this product saves resources and protects the environment. Due to the saving of many processes in magnesium aluminum zinc plating, it saves a lot of post production costs for future processing and maintenance, and is very environmentally friendly.

  This product performs very well in salt spray testing and resistance to red rust. The results of publicly available laboratory accelerated experiments and outdoor exposure experiments indicate that an increase in Al and Mg content within a certain range can improve corrosion resistance by several to ten times. Another major advantage of adding Mg to the coating is the improved corrosion resistance of the steel plate's cutting edge. Zn based corrosion products containing Mg will cover the surface of the cut, thereby forming protection for the cut.

1. Japan Japan New Steel: ZAM is a product developed by Japan New Steel, and its coating composition is 6% aluminum, 3% magnesium, and the rest is zinc. It is reported that its corrosion resistance is more than 10 times that of hot-dip galvanized steel plate. Its corrosion resistance mechanism is that the aluminum and magnesium components contained in the ZAM coating dissolve out of the coating over time, and then produce a double-layer fine protective film with high adhesion on the surface of the coating, inhibiting corrosion of the coating and exhibiting excellent corrosion resistance. In terms of post-treatment, chromium free environmental treatment is used to ensure the coordination of corrosion resistance, conductivity, and environmental protection.
2. Japan Nippon Steel: SUPER DYMA is another type of galvanized aluminum magnesium alloy steel plate from Nippon Steel, with a coating composition of 11% aluminum, 3% magnesium, 0.2% silicon, and zinc. The purpose of adding silicon is to further improve the ability to resist white rust, reduce the thickness of the interface layer between the coating and the substrate, and improve the stamping performance of the coating.
3. China Baosteel: BZM, low aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium coating with an aluminum content of 1-3.5%. This coating is formed by adding a certain amount of aluminum magnesium and other elements on the basis of hot dip galvanizing. Baosteel conducted its first industrial trial production in June 2016. The coated steel plate has also undergone color coating unit tests and successfully developed a low aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium substrate color coated steel plate. This coating is an upgraded version of the corrosion resistance of hot-dip pure zinc coating, abbreviated as BZM coated steel plate and its color coated plate by Baosteel.
4. China Baosteel: BAM, high aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium coating, aluminum content: 55%. This coating is formed by adding certain magnesium and other elements on the basis of hot-dip aluminum zinc plating. Baosteel conducted its first industrial trial production in August 2016. The coated steel plate has also undergone color coating unit tests and successfully developed a high aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium substrate color coated steel plate.
