Zinc aluminum magnesium, as the name suggests, is an alloy metal mainly used for surface anti-corrosion treatment of steel and steel products. Initially, pure zinc was widely used for surface anti-corrosion treatment of steel products. With the improvement of technology, various experiments were conducted, and alloy metals such as aluminum zinc alloy and zinc aluminum magnesium alloy emerged, increasing the corrosion resistance effect of the metal layer. And through certain experiments on aluminum magnesium alloys, it was found that a better metal ratio can achieve better anti-corrosion effects.



The results of publicly available accelerated laboratory experiments and outdoor exposure experiments have shown that an increase in Al and Mg content within a certain range can improve corrosion resistance by several to ten times (as shown in the above figure).

When the content of Zn, Al, and Mg ternary eutectic phases in the entire coating structure reaches a certain level, the corrosion products are insoluble colloidal substances with low conductivity, which can effectively isolate the transmission of coating and external substances, forming a dense and effective protective layer on the surface of the steel plate to prevent corrosion. The cathodic reaction will be effectively suppressed with the appearance of this double-layer structure, significantly improving the corrosion resistance of the coating.
