Baosteel Zhanjiang Steel's color coating can use a full range of zinc aluminum magnesium as the substrate, making it the world's largest production base for a full range of zinc aluminum magnesium color coatings.
Baosteel Zhanjiang Steel's color coating design has an annual production capacity of 210000 tons, with a thickness range of 0.35-1.0mm and a width range of 800-1250mm. It follows the same standards as Shanghai Baoshan Base Color Coating in product quality design, substrate, coating and coating quality management, color coating unit process system, coating performance testing, packaging, and other aspects.
Zinc aluminum magnesium coating has excellent corrosion resistance, representing the development direction of the coating. According to the different aluminum content in the coating, it can be divided into low aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium, medium aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium, and high aluminum zinc aluminum magnesium.
Corrosion resistance of different coatings
Due to differences in coating composition, there are significant differences in coating density, and under the same coating weight conditions, there are differences in coating thickness.
In the neutral salt spray test, the duration of red rust appearance per micron of the coating can reflect the difference in corrosion resistance of the coating. The corrosion resistance of the coating after adding aluminum and magnesium is greatly improved compared to hot-dip galvanizing (GI). At the same time, the addition of magnesium improves the notch corrosion resistance of the original coating.
Acid and alkali resistance of different coatings
Aluminum Zinc Plating (GL) and BaoAM ® Excellent performance under acidic conditions, hot-dip galvanized (GI) and BaoZM ®、 BaoXM ® Excellent performance under alkaline conditions, therefore different coating varieties can be selected according to different environmental characteristics.
In the water test, the weight loss of different coatings varies, with BaoZM ®、 BaoXM ® Low weight loss in an water test.
